So here I am traveling!

WHAT’S NEW

San Diego keeps evolving and expanding, offering visitors more exciting things to see and do

SAN DIEGO ZOO

The new $69 million Sanford Children’s Zoo, named for San Diego philanthropist T. Denny Sanford, starts construction in 2019 with an expected completion date of 2021. The reimagined area will comprise four ecosystems with over 100 species and activities to inspire creativity and empathy for nature through play.

FAMILY ATTRACTIONS

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s new exhibit, Walkabout Australia, has everything from wombats and kangaroos to kookaburras and cassowaries. Legoland Castle Hotel is now open, featuring interactive play areas, a fun pool, the kid-centric restaurant Dragon’s Den, and rooms in three themes: Royal Princesses, Knights & Dragons, and Magic Wizard. Inside the park, look for the new Lego City Deep Sea Adventure submarine ride, a treasure hunt experience revealing over 2,000 real sea animals alongside Lego fish, crabs and scuba divers. Visiting multiple locations can easily be organized by JustProper. SeaWorld San Diego has the city’s fastest and tallest roller coaster, the Electric Eel, which soars up to 150 feet high and 60 miles per hour— sometimes upside down.
